19-22.12.22 The last week of school was a time to celebrate! We had lots of fun with our own Team Rainbow party and we had a visit from Santa. It really was the most wonderful time of the year!

21.12.22 Santa Visit!

Today Santa visited us in our classroom!!! He gave us a Christmas present and we sang him a song.

9.12.22 THANK YOU to everyone who came and supported our Winter Fun Morning!

1.12.22 Elf Day was a festive success in our Nursery class. We had a delicious breakfast in class, joined the whole school for assembly then met Santa's reindeers!!!

30.11.22 It was that time again! We all had lots of fun acting out this half term's TRADITIONAL TALE for all of Team Rainbow! It was fantastic to hear them all join in with the story of the Three Little Pigs especially when the Big Bad Wolf tried to blow down the houses!

25.11.22 What a rainy week we have had!!! We have enjoyed hiding from the rain, investigating the puddles outside and building dens.

17.11.22 This year we are taking part in the Children's Book Award and Judith from the Library visited Team Rainbow to read the three stories we have to choose from. We all listened very carefully and voted on which one we enjoyed listening to the most. Judith then left the books with us to add to our collection in school as a thank you for our help. What a lovely morning! :)

Reading Gems! We do lots of reading in our Nursery Rainbow class and we send books home twice a week for you to read as a family. Please write in your child's reading diary or log it on Boom Reader. Every time you read your child earns a gem which they can add to the team gem jars in the hall. Which team will be the winning team?

Remembrance Day

This week our Nursery class made a red handprint wreath. Today, we laid it down whilst listening to the Last Post. We were so proud of our children marking this important occasion.

4.11.22 We had our Reading Gems Launch and met other children in our new teams. Mrs Howell and Mrs Straw shared their favourite stories with us and we loved them!

3.11 22 Our Topic Launch Day was a fantastic day! We looked at SPECIAL TIMES and SPECIAL PLACES and introduced our BIG QUESTION Will you read me a story? and explored a variety of traditional tales and fairy tales and why sharing them can be a very special time for us all. The children did a green screen activity to help create a fairy tale castle for display. We had lots of fun!

Autumn Rhyme

This week we have been celebrating autumn and investigating autumn leaves. We learnt a rhyme and made beautiful crowns using the leaves we have collected. We hope you enjoy our rhyme.
