10.2.23 What a week we have had! We began on Tuesday with a party to celebrate Mrs Straw's BIG birthday. Then we made beautiful Valentine's window decorations. Today, we celebrated the end of our transport topic by pretending to be different vehicles in our big playground. What a fun week it has been!

7.2.23 It makes us smile every time we do it! It was our performance of our traditional tales this half term, Little Red Riding Hood.

3.2.23 Duck in The Truck! We have LOVED reading Duck in the Truck this week. We have retold the story to our friends and spotted the rhyming words. The book has inspired us to make puppets, paint animals and act out the story with props. We have even washed dirty cars with our paint brushes!!!

27.1.23 ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM we have blasted off to space this week! Our book of the week was Whatever Next by Jill Murphy and we have thoroughly enjoyed all of our space adventures that it has inspired. We have built rockets, painted spaceships and climbed into rockets made of boxes!! We have learnt a space poem and enjoyed singing 5 little men in a flying saucer.

20.1.23 Train journeys and icy days! This week we have read The Train Journey by June Crebbin and it has inspired us to go on some imaginary train journeys. We were so busy creating tickets and describing our destinations. We also had great fun in the icy weather digging in our frozen sand pit and making delicious icy ice cream cones yum yum!

13.1.23 We began our new topic this week, learning about different modes of transport and answering the question 'Are we there yet?' We have listened to vehicle sounds, rolled vehicles in our playdough and completed vehicle jigsaws. It has been a fantastic first week back!
