CONGRATULATIONS to our SHINING STAR winners this half term!
CONGRATULATIONS to our TED'S PALS winners this half term!
READING is something we love in Team Rainbow and WELL DONE to everyone who is reading at home and continuing to get READING GEMS for their teams!
26.5.23 It was that time again... the staff acted out our Traditional Tale this half term, The Little Red Hen.
26.5.23 We had another secret reader and this time it was Mrs Bodenham!
25.5.23 Inspired by our story The Little Red Hen, we had a go at tasting different types of bread. It was very interesting finding out there are so many different types of bread and some are definitely tastier than others!
24.5.23 After the success of last week's Stay 'n' Read we were very excited to do another one! THANK YOU again to everyone who stayed and joined us.
23.5.23 Mrs Straw is still helping us all look after the garden!
22.5.23 We did our end of Topic quiz and went on another walk around the school grounds. We stopped in the same place as before and talked about what we had noticed had changed from our last visit.
19.5.23 Our secret reader this week was Mrs Shelley!
18.5.23 Mrs Straw is still helping us look after our garden!
17.5.23 We launched our new STAY 'N' READ session and THANK YOU to everyone who joined us! Same time next week?
12.5.23 We had two visitors this week for our Secret Reader, Mr Straw came back to see us and brought his son too!
9.5.23 Once the King's Coronation was over we talked about what we saw. All of the children loved his crown so much we used a variety of 2D shapes to design a new one for him!
On Friday 5th May we held our very own
CORONATION CELEBRATION DAY!
The children took part in several activities including face painting, dressing in red, white and blue, making their own crowns, making flags, learning songs to sing in our assembly, dancing and finishing the morning off with a fish and chip lunch!
We decorated and made our own crowns.
Nursery had lots of fun learning our Coronation songs!

We had Union flags put on our faces!
We had fun outside with the trumpets!
Our Coronation lunch of fish and chips with a decorated biscuit was yummy!
We also did some dancing!
28.4.23 Mr Straw came back to visit us! This time he sat and read some of our favourite stories to us and helped us clean out our bug hotel.
26.4.23 Now that is Spring we have started to plant some more flowers and with Mrs Straw's help we will continue to look after them over the next few weeks.
24.4.23 To introduce our new topic of SEASONS we went on 'a seasons walk' around the school and talked about what we could see. We took our time to stop, look and listen to all of the wonderful things we could see and hear before collecting things that we found on the ground to use back in the classroom.
