Team Wiltshire sharing their ideas about what their ideal university would be like.

Go Read Reading Gems Launch Day:

Children from Year 6 marked the launch of our GoRead initiative by coming to school dressed in the colour of their teams reading gem! We carried out book scavenger hunts, reviewed our favourite books and acted out our favourite stories.

Victorian Child Labour

Year 6 experienced what it was like to work inside of a Victorian coal mine. They were challenged to crawl into tight spaces, work in uncomfortable conditions and understood how difficult and challenging life was for children during Victorian times.

Place Value Anchor Task:

Year 6 enjoyed using the Maths Manipulative to make and compare numbers up to 10 million!

Goose Fair experience:

The children from Team Wiltshire enjoyed their Goose Fair experience. We experienced playing traditional fairground games such as a Tin Can Alley, Ring Toss, Splat the Rat, Coconut Shy and a Hook a Duck! The children also enjoyed sampling candy floss which everyone loved! We also tried mushy peas with mint sauce which some children enjoyed far more than others!

Tag Rugby:

During our PE lessons Year 6 are learning how to play Tag Rugby with a sports coach. We are enjoying the lessons and are learning new skills along with improving our balanace and cordination.

Now Press Play Forces Experience:

Year 6 enjoyed investigating forces during our Science lessons and how they affect our lives. Using Now Press Play we used and applied our understanding during an experience which transported us into space!

Centripetal force experiement:

As part of our topic Year 6 enjoyed discovering information about Centripetal Force and developed their understanding of why the bean bags did not fall out of the bucket when they were spun around in a loop despite going upside down!

Goose Fair Rides:

As part of our topic of "Why does Goose Fair come to Nottingham? Year 6 designed and made our own moving fairground models as a Design and Technology project.
