CONGRATULATIONS to our SHINING STAR winners this half term!
10.2.23 To finish this half term's Time to Shine we put on a performance for Mrs Bonsor showing her everything we have learnt. It was great fun and a fantastic way to end this block. We are all looking forward to what we will next time!

9.2.23 To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week we were all able to EXPRESS OURSELVES by wearing what we wanted too and what makes us happy!
9.2.23 Another book we read during Mental Health Awareness Week was Super Duper You by Sophy Henn and we were inspired to make our own canvases celebrating what makes us 'Super Duper'.

8.2.23 As part of Mental Health Awareness Week we revisited The Colour Monster and found a new book that helps us talk about our feelings, The Scribble Spot. We compared both books looking at their similarities and begun to learn the Scribble Spot song.
7.2.23 It makes us smile every time we do it! It was our performance of our traditional tales this half term, Little Red Riding Hood.
7.2.23 We helped Mrs Straw celebrate her 50th birthday and had lots of fun. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MRS STRAW!
3.2.23 It was our Poetry Day on Friday and we looked at Spike Miligan's poem The Land of the Bumbly Boo. We had lots of fun imagining that we were going on the train to this wonderful mysterious land and then described what we could see. We would all like to go back again soon!

1.2.23 THANK YOU for everyone's help with last week's HOME LEARNING. The children's rockets look fantastic!
27.1.23 It was our TIME TO SHINE again and this week we watched the TorQ Quartet who use bins for drums and had so much much fun having a go ourselves (no bins were damaged in the fun and they were all returned to where they came from!).

26.1.23 There was a lovely big rainbow in the sky above us and we all got very excited!
20.1.23 This week's TIME TO SHINE was our first time exploring JUNK PERCUSSION INSTRUMENTS. We learnt what skills we needed to use when using percussion instruments to make different sounds and then were inspired by the band Weapons of Sound and copied them by using a shopping trolley and crates to play along to Dolly Parton's Jolene!

16-20.1.23 What an COLD and ICY week it has been! We have still played outside though and learnt how to be safe when it is frosty to make sure we can still have lots of fun learning!
20.1.23 To find out more about CHINESE NEW YEAR we watched a video made by a girl called Abbie who told us how her family celebrates. We were really interested and loved the Chinese dragons in particular. We then had a go at drawing our own dragons!
19.1.23 PIZZA PARTY day was amazing and we all loved doing something different at lunchtime!
13.1.23 We had our first TIME TO SHINE this half term and we were joined with Team Sherald (Year 1). We had a fantastic time playing together and getting used to sharing. We also learnt our Time to Shine song by Starbeam!
13.1.22 For our TOPIC LAUNCH DAY we took part in lots of activities focusing on different types of TRANSPORT and finding out what we already know.
