Team Rainbows Team Letter - Summer 1.pdf
CONGRATULATIONS to all of our SHINING STAR winners this half term!
26.5.23 To end our topic this half term, we took part in a true or false quiz. We had lots of fun and the children showed us how much they have learned about the different seasons.
26.5.23 It was that time again... all the staff acted out our traditional tale this half term, The Little Red Hen.
25.5.23 After reading The Little Red Hen we then really enjoyed investigating different types of bread. We had a go at tasting 5 of them and then we voted on our favourite.
19.5.23 We had a fantastic Numberblocks day on Friday! We have been learning about numbers 11-20 and working on finding patterns in numbers too!
10-12.5.23
We spread our Poetry Day over the week this time and
looked closely at the poem Childhood Tracks by James Berry.
Inspired by him we used our own senses to talk, draw and
write about school to make our own poem.
We went outside and talked about what we could hear and drew what we could see.
Here is our finished poem.
On Friday 5th May we held our very own
CORONATION CELEBRATION DAY!
The children took part in several activities including face painting, dressing in red, white and blue, making their own crowns, making flags, learning songs to sing in our assembly, dancing and finishing the morning off with a fish and chip lunch!
We decorated and made our own crowns to wear!
We enjoyed dressing up in red, white and blue - the colours of the Union Flag.
Our Coronation assembly!
Here is our song Sunshine in My Heart being sung by all of Team Rainbow!

We had fun outside playing with the trumpets.
We were very lucky to have our faces painted too!
We had fish and chips in the hall which was yummy!
26.4.23 With Spring being here we have started to look at planting some flowers and with Mr and Mrs Straw's help, we will make sure we look after the other garden areas we have.
19-21.4.23 When we read The Little Scribble Spot book last half term we loved it so much the children wanted to do more, so we did! We looked at The Scribble Spot Celebrates Scribble Day and followed the instructions to make our own Scribble Spots. We also carried on learning the feeling song and watched other songs too!
